Making sure your loved ones are covered is one of the most important parts of choosing your benefits. Whether you want to add a new family member, remove someone, or cover a dependent on some plans but not others, here's how it works in Nayya.
There are two places you can manage dependents in Nayya Choose.
During the questionnaire
When you reach the Your dependents screen, select who your benefits need to cover: yourself, your spouse, your children, or a combination. If you're adding children, you'll be asked to include each child's age and dependent status. You can add more than one child using the Add a child option.
On your recommendations page
Once you've received your recommendations, each plan shows your current coverage tier, for example Employee + Spouse or Employee + Family. To change who's covered on a specific plan, click Modify next to that plan's coverage tier and update your selections.
Covering a dependent on some plans but not others
You don't have to cover the same people on every plan. Maybe your child needs dental but not medical, or you want to drop a dependent from one plan while keeping them on another. Because you manage coverage plan by plan, you can do exactly that.
To remove someone from a single benefit, find that specific plan on your recommendations page, click Modify next to the coverage tier, and deselect the dependent you don't want covered on that plan. Their coverage on your other plans won't change. To remove a dependent from everything, repeat this step on each plan, or update your selection on the Your dependents screen in the survey.
Note, changes you make in Nayya update your recommendations only. To officially add or remove a dependent from your actual coverage, you'll need to complete that step in your company's benefits enrollment platform.
