Adding, removing, or changing who's covered

Making sure your loved ones are covered is one of the most important parts of choosing your benefits. Whether you want to add a new family member, remove someone, update your information, or cover a dependent on some plans but not others, here's how it works in Nayya.

There are a few places you can manage dependents in Nayya Choose, depending on whether we already have your information on file.

If we already have your information

If your employer has already shared your family information with us, for example if you're a returning user, you'll see a Welcome back screen when you sign in. It shows sections like About You and Your Family marked Completed. Click Update information next to any section that needs a change, including your marital status or dependents.

During the questionnaire

If we don't have this information yet, you'll be asked for it directly. When you reach the Your dependents screen, select who your benefits need to cover: yourself, your spouse, your children, or a combination. If you're adding children, you'll be asked to include each child's age and dependent status. You can add more than one child using the Add a child option.

  1. Go back to the beginning where we ask about your demographic information.
  2. When you reach the Your dependents screen, select who your benefits need to cover: your spouse, your children, or just you. You can select more than one option.
  3. If you select your spouse, the Your spouse screen asks for their date of birth, dependent status, employment status, income, and insurance status.
  4. If you select your children, the Your children screen asks for each child's age and dependent status. Click Add a child to add more than one.
  5. Finish the survey to see a new recommendation based on your updates.

Nayya doesn't collect Social Security numbers for you or anyone you're covering. If you're looking for a field to enter a dependent's SSN and don't see one, that's expected. It isn't something Nayya asks for at any point in the survey or your recommendation. Your company's enrollment platform will collect that information when you finalize your elections.

On your recommendations page

You can't change who's covered on a recommendation after you receive it. Nayya shows the coverage tier we recommend for each plan, like "Employee, Spouse" or "Employee, Spouse, Child," based on the dependents you told us about. To change who's covered, update your dependents in the survey to get a new recommendation, or make the change when you enroll on your company's enrollment platform.

If your employer has already shared your family information with us, it's filled in for you on these screens.

Want to compare costs for different coverage?

On the recommendation page click View all premiums next to where it lists who's included in coverage. A window opens with the monthly premium for each coverage option, like Employee Only and "Employee, Spouse," with your recommended coverage highlighted. It's for reference only and doesn't change your recommendation.

To cover a dependent on some plans but not others, for example your child on dental but not medical, make that choice on your company's enrollment platform when you make your elections. Nayya can't change who's covered on an individual plan.

Note, changes you make in Nayya update your recommendations only. To officially add or remove a dependent from your actual coverage, you'll need to complete that step in your company's benefits enrollment platform.
