Waiving benefits in Nayya

Not every benefit is the right fit for everyone, and that's okay. Here's how to waive a specific benefit in Nayya's Benefits Recommendation workflow.

How to waive a benefit

  1. Click the name of the plan you want to waive.
  2. Click Modify/Waive in the top left corner of the recommended plan.
  3. Select Waive All from the dropdown, or select I do not plan to enroll at the bottom of the recommended benefit.

Want to keep a benefit but change who's covered on it instead of waiving it? See our guide on changing who's covered on a benefit.

Where the waiver actually takes effect

Either option updates your recommendation in Nayya, but it doesn't officially waive the benefit. That final step happens in your company's enrollment platform. Nayya recommends and lets you make edits, but your enrollment platform is where the waiver actually takes effect.

Skipping straight to enrollment

If you only want a couple of your benefits, you don't need to skip Nayya. See Using Nayya when you only want some of your benefits. If you've decided not to use Nayya at all, select Skip to enrollment on the welcome screen and you'll be taken directly to your company's benefits platform, where you can waive coverage there.

If you get stuck

If you run into trouble waiving or opting out inside your enrollment platform, that's something your company's enrollment platform support or your HR team will need to help you with. Nayya can't troubleshoot issues inside the enrollment platform itself.
