What's the difference between "Pre-fill my answers" and "Start from scratch"?

If your persona recommendation wasn't quite right, we want to make it easy to get one that fits you better. When you choose to personalize your recommendation, we'll ask you to pick one of two starting points, and we know it isn't always obvious which one to choose.

Pre-fill my answers takes the assumptions behind your original persona and drops them into the full survey as a starting point, so you can go through and change anything that doesn't match your actual situation. For example, if you chose Supporting My Family, we might have pre-filled that you're planning for a lot of care this year, or if you chose Expecting, we might have pre-filled that you're having a baby this year. You can edit any of those pre-filled answers, or leave them as is if they're still accurate. This is the faster option if your persona was mostly right and you just want to add or correct a few specific details.

Start from scratch clears those assumptions and gives you a blank survey. Every answer is one you provide yourself, with nothing carried over from your persona. This is the better option if your persona wasn't a close match, or if you'd rather answer every question yourself.

Either way, you'll complete the full survey and get a new recommendation built entirely from your own answers. That means it's fully personalized and can account for medical or personal details, like an upcoming surgery or an ongoing condition, that the persona path couldn't factor in.

Rest assured, we never share the information you provide with your employer or any other party. Your privacy is our top priority.
