We know that submitting a claim can feel like a lot, especially when you’re trying to get reimbursed for something like childcare or a medical bill. Here’s where to go.
Nayya is a recommendation tool. We help you understand your options and choose benefits, but we don’t process claims, approve reimbursements, or manage your FSA, HSA, or insurance accounts. Claims are handled by the company that administers your benefit, which is why we can’t submit one for you or check on the status of one you’ve already filed.
The right place to submit a claim depends on the benefit:
- FSA or HSA, such as reimbursement for childcare from your dependent care FSA or a prescription from your HSA or health care FSA: File with your account administrator. The name is on your account card, your online account, or in your enrollment materials.
- Medical, dental, or vision: File with your insurance carrier. Most providers submit to your carrier for you. If you paid out of pocket and need to be reimbursed, your carrier’s website or member services number will show you how.
- Supplemental benefits, like accident, critical illness, or hospital indemnity: File with your carrier. If we sent you a notification that you may be able to file a claim, you still need to file it directly with your carrier. We don’t decide whether a claim is eligible.
- Disability, life, or leave benefits: File with your carrier or ask your HR team, depending on how your employer sets them up.
Your administrator or carrier can also tell you what documents you’ll need, which expenses are covered, and your filing deadlines. If you’re not sure who administers a benefit, your HR team is the best place to start. For questions about how a claim affects your taxes, a tax advisor can help. Questions? Email support@nayya.com. We’re available Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm ET. For help with a specific claim, though, your HR team or the company that administers your benefit is the fastest way to get an answer.
